Attached is the magnet assembly diagram that includes two neodymium disc magnets  with nickel coating separated by a plastic washer, and the two 3M VHB # 4952 Adhesive Tape. It is very important to have the correct washer for the magnet assembly, so the permanent magnets fit properly in our product and packaging.
Secondly, please note the new 3M VHB 4952 Adhesive Tape on both non-attractive sides of the two magnets. Please use the new # 4952 3M Adhesive Tape on both magnets, as indicated on the attached magnet assembly diagram.
This is very time consuming to cut the excess tape off so the magnets will fit properly in our product. The round adhesive tape must not be larger than the *** diameter of the magnet. Please see the attached pictures.

It is reported that the magnetism of the new magnets can surpass the neodymium magnets, which is the strongest rare earth permanent magnets  in the world. Even in 180 degree high temperature, the magnetism will not decrease. Nowadays, it is used to replace the neodymium NdFeB magnets to meets the demand in some fields. Compared with the rare earth element Dy in neodymium that come from China mostly, the Sm element in SmCo magnets  is abundant in America and Australia, thus can be purchased steadily and conveniently. The experts said that with the strained Sino-Japanese relations, the prices of rare earths increase sharply for the export limitation of China, thus lead to a higher supply risk and production cost. Therefore, the enterprises are looking for new products to replace neodymium permanent magnets all the time.

Although Toshiba developed strong SmCo magnets in 2012, the magnetism will decrease or even lose once the temperature surpasses 140 degree. Therefore, it is not adopted by manufacturers. To this problem, the new technology of Toshiba is to improve the heat-resistant quality through heat treatment to ensure the magnets can be used in the engine.

At this moment, the permanent magnet is still in the stage of trail order, and they hope to achieve mass production as early as possible.

As some parts of the currency notes are in magnetic ink printing which contains ferrite, co and some other magnetic materials  like neodymium magnets, so when the currency are put in the counter, these materials will be detected by the magnetic head sensor. There are always single, two, three or four magnetic head sensors in the machine. In the magnetic detection, the magnetic head sensor in the machine must be assembled in the fixed position, so as to ensure the currency and the permanent magnets contact properly.


The magnetic head sensor, with a hard metal case, includes a sensor chip with magnetic-resistance components that to respond magnetic vector, and a permanent magnet  to magnetized the magnetic vector so that to be inducted. The common specification of it is 64mm length, 13mm width, and 14mm thickness. If there are special requirements, the specification also can be customized.


The permanent magnet in it is always N35 neodymium magnet  without any sharp edges and burrs, and is also 64mm length, and 4mm width, 5mm thickness. The typical corner radius is 0.2mm. Besides, it is a 38M block magnet with zinc coating. Generally, the use life of the magnetic head sensor is more than 500 thousand times.
