There comes the news from Xi’an Economic Development Zone that the first two 2MW DC permanent magnet motors go into operation. The above-mentioned motor type, with larger swept area and stronger power comparing with other domestic wind turbines of the same power, has been currently manufactured for small scale production.
It is understood that mechanical structure of 1.5MW and 2.5MW motor types have some reference for the design of 2MW DC permanent magnet motors. It is improved for low wind speed and complicated area and it guarantee cooling power and effect. Also, it manifests economic efficiency, suction efficiency and development capacity.
The head of the corporation tells the reporter that industrialization of the above-mentioned products brings benefits to manufacture of wind power equipments and development capacity. On one hand, unit localization can greatly reduce production cost of wind power and improve developing speed of wind power project, scale and management level. On the other hand, the ultimate unit localization will promote full use of rare earth and competitive capacity of large permanent magnet wind turbine in international market.
