Inquire Permanent Magnet Manufacturer – China Rare Earth Magnet Limited:
I saw that your company is making permanent magnets for Scientific Research.
We are looking for a strong magnet with homogeneous field, for a Magnetic Spectrometer to detect the electron beam generated by 100 TW laser system. The electrons have energy up to 2 GeV and we require strong magnet to deflect those electrons.
We need a compact magnet with the following details:
- Magnetic Strength upto 2 Tesla
- Very Uniform Field
- High Efficiency in Vacuum
- Rectangular or Trapezoidal Shape (Dimension as compact as Possible)
We want to make the Magnet Wall with a rectangular window and the field inside this windows should be 1.5 to 2 Tesla.
Do you have any magnets (or combination of magnet) which can give upto that high Field strength? Could you please let us know how much does it cost with above criteria?

For your reference, the strength of magnets can not be as high as 2 Telsa, unless they are fabricated into huge magnetic assembly with steel parts.
For example, we recently manufactured a ring size D5.906’’xd2’’x2.172’’, the surface gauss of it is 4100 gauss. And it is the largest size that can be made with neodymium magnet material (the strongest material).

Looking for Neodymium Magnetic Assembly :
We are looking for a strong permanent magnet setup (in a steel cage) with a homogeneous field (B = 1.5 -2 Tesla). I saw in the web that N52 neodymium magnets have strong field strength unto 0.55 T, We would like to use these N52 NdFeB magnets and make an assembly. It would be great if we can make a trapezoidal shape with a gap. If not a rectangular shaped is also fine.
We want to have a neodymium permanent magnet with the following criteria:
1. a bending Permanent dipole magnet. If possible/available, we want to use the trapezoidal shaped for better focusing of the electrons. If not, a compact rectangular magnet setup (with a rectangular window).
2. the compact shape with an effective length with a uniform field strength (B =1.5 -2 T)
3. low inherent thermal drift,
4. homogeneity magnitude level below 1% or best possible.
5. high thermal stability
Could you please see the possibility? If you can manufacture, can you please send us the quotation (price and technical details) and time to manufacture it?
