Neodymium Permanent Magnet in Bullet Shape:
I’m looking for two types of bullet magnets. They should be rounded properly on the ends and magnetized straight up and down.
I ordered the samples are not half circles, but rather flat on the end with the edges curved a bit. The ends need to be as close to perfect half circles as possible (Basically half a ball magnet, with the other half a cylinder magnet.). Samples weren't magnetized completely north-south. If they were, the ball magnet would be aligned with the edge of the samples.

Could you please take more clear photos of the two kinds of magnets from various directions, especially photos of the round ends?
Regarding the problems, our engineer gives reply as below.
1. Ball permanent magnets are manufactured by all-in-one technique, so they have very good roundness and radian.
As for the cylinder with round end magnets, the round end was ground by lathe, so the roundness was not as perfect as that of a ball.
2. The magnets you ordered should be completely magnetized.
The edge was not aligned with the ball, because its central point of magnetic field line was inconsistent with that of the ball magnet.
We can manufacture samples and try to perfect the roundness you request. But still we are not sure if the roundness will be as perfect as a ball.
Neodymium Bullet Magnets:
I've enclosed pictures. All of them are sitting on a small metal plate. You can see that the two are tilted to the side, whereas the one with a ball magnet is very close to perfectly straight up.
The goal is to have the magnet balanced perfectly on end. This only happens if the end is spherical and it is magnetized directly through the center of the magnet. If the end isn't completely spherical (if there are flat spots) it will not sit straight up and down. If it is magnetized off center, the magnet will pull a bit more to one side, also making it not sit straight up and down. You can see on the picture of the ball with the cylinder on top what it should look like.

Our engineers examine the drawings again and inform that if you need us to produce the magnets, they will try to perfect the roundness. But they could not guarantee that after production, the magnets can stand up straightly like the ball magnet + the cylinder.
Because processing technology of ball magnets and the magnets are different, the roundness will not be as perfect as ball magnets.

Would they still be rounded by hand if they were produced in larger quantities?
