Currently, rare earth magnet synchronous motors developed and produced by China has been supplied to many famous auto enterprises including Fisker in America and Chery, Wanxiang, Geely, Zotye, Haima and BYD in China. “The whole world is now developing green economy, including promotion of new energy vehicles and electric automobile. In this respect, China can fully meet the market demands.” said Professor Shen.

The application of neodymium permanent magnet motor has a very bright future. It is introduced that the total amount of electrical energy consumed by motors accounts for 60% of total power grid electricity. So, highly effective motors have great economic value, environmental value and social value. Moreover, such motors are one of main technologies to make motors efficient. Professor Shen thinks that it is the first choice for high-end motor drive system in the future. It can be widely applied to transportation and delivery, high-end processing equipment, robot and air-foil fan, pump as well as other white household appliances. China should continually improve the performance of rare earth permanent magnetic materials and electric material, constantly develop technology of electric machine design and drive control to meet more requirements of neodymium magnet motor market.
