Electric Sunroof Controlled by Permanent Magnet Motor 20181019

The electric sunroof is a roof controlled by a permanent magnet DC motor that it can automatically open, close and adjust the position.

Compare with electric glass doors and windows, the electric sunroof transmission mechanism is more complex. The permanent magnet DC motor can open and close the sunroof and adjust its opening angle through sunroof driving mechanism after slowing down by turbine and worm. Figure 1-11 is the sketch map of sunroof driving mechanism. Recently, in foreign countries, ultrasonic motor has become an alternative of permanent magnet DC motor, which have achieved the effect of small volume (without deceleration mechanism), low speed and large torque.

The electric sunroof is the most popular car sunroof for people. We now use the electric sunroof as an example to illustrate the basic structure of the sunroof. Electric sunroof mainly consists of sunroof assemblies, sliding mechanism, drive mechanism and control system, as shown in Figure 1-11. In Figure 1-12, sunroof assemblies contain skylight frames, sunroof glass, sun visors, diversion channels, drainage channels and so on. While the electric sunroof is working, the motor drive the transmission mechanism, so that the sunroof can open in slide or tilt.
